Kenny Garner is an accomplished video producer, director, and creative artist with a robust background in both performance and production. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Volunteer State Community College in May 2023 with an Associate of Applied Science in Video Production, earning a stellar 3.9 GPA. While at VolState, Kenny served as a President’s Ambassador, Peer Mentor, and a Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society member.

Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, Kenny attended the School for Creative & Performing Arts, where he majored in visual arts. He later relocated to Nashville to pursue a music career, finding notable success before transitioning to acting in 2007. His debut audition landed him a principal dancer role in a Trisha Yearwood music video directed by Trey Fanjoy. Since then, Kenny has appeared in over 15 music videos for artists like Taylor Swift and Josh Groban, 11 feature films, and 20 commercials.

In 2009, Kenny shifted his focus behind the camera, producing a commercial for Dorito’s Super Bowl Contest and participating in a prestigious competition held by HBO and the Director’s Guild of America. Though not the winner, Kenny’s near success motivated him to continue pursuing his dream of directing.

Since then, Kenny has directed over 24 projects for high-profile clients, including The Cupcake Collection, Grammy-nominated songwriter Alton Lee Hood, Vanderbilt University, Captain D’s, The Nashville Zoo, and more. His work spans commercials, short films, and branded content, showcasing his versatility and creative vision.

Kenny’s short films have gained widespread recognition in the festival circuit. Ashes to Ashes won Best Comedy at the 2014 East Nashville Film Festival, while Are You Listening was an official selection at the Great Lakes International Film Festival, receiving nominations for Best Narrative Short and earning accolades like 3rd Runner-Up in the Audience Choice Award and Best Writer at the Smokey Mountain Film Festival. Other notable works, including The Assumption, PINKED, and Self-Motivation, have been featured in over 16 film festivals nationwide.

Most recently, Kenny directed the comedy web series Three’s a Pain, now streaming on Amazon Prime.
